Dr. Sasan Haghighat (Hyatt) DVM, CVA

Dr. Sasan Haghighat (Hyatt) graduated from Veterinary School in 1995. He went on to take additional training in Germany before preparing for and passing his licensing exams in Ontario in 2003. He worked at the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) in Newmarket and the Veterinary Emergency Clinic (VEC) in Toronto. Having a strong family background in natural healing methods, he soon developed a new passion: the belief that healing starts from inside. The more he practised veterinary medicine, the less medication he prescribed. His mantra soon became: Let Food be your Medicine and Medicine be your Food. More…

Dr. Autumn L. Drouin D.V.M., N.D., FCAH (Retired)

Autumn’s love and passion for animals and their welfare led her to the Ontario College of Veterinary Medicine.

After graduation in 1977, she immediately started researching natural therapies such as nutrition, herbs, acupuncture, and homeopathy and applying them in her veterinary practice. Because of the excellent results she observed in her patients using natural treatment methods, she embarked on another course of study at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, from which she graduated as a Naturopathic Doctor in 1989. Bernadette

For as long as she can remember, Bernie has wanted to work in the field of veterinary medicine in order to make a difference in the lives of animals. She finds working with animals to be one of the most rewarding types of work and loves every minute of it.

A Newmarket native, Bernie got her start in the veterinary field during a high school co-op opportunity at an animal hospital. She excelled working at the clinic, with the animals and got a handful of experience in all aspects of the veterinary field—she even had the opportunity to scrub in and assist the head veterinarian on numerous surgical procedures.
