Dexter – Ciliary Dyskinesia

Healthy Happy Dalmatian

When our puppy was just four months old, he became seriously ill and was diagnosed with pneumonia. After a course of antibiotics, he initially seemed to improve, but it wasn’t long before he became sick again. This time, no medication was effective. We were referred to internal medicine for further testing, where, after extensive evaluations, we were told Dexter had ciliary dyskinesia—a condition with no cure and no treatment options. We were advised to consider his quality of life and to have discussions about euthanasia.

Dexter hadn’t even reached his first birthday, and I wasn’t ready to give up on him. In a last, hopeful attempt to explore every possible option, I decided to pursue a holistic approach. I was referred to North East Newmarket Holistic Veterinary Clinic and booked an appointment immediately.

That decision changed everything. From the moment we met Dr. Sasan Haghighat (Hyatt) and his incredible team, we felt supported andhopeful. After just one visit, Dexter was started on a new diet along with supplements, naturopathic medicine, vaccine detoxification, and ozone therapy. To my absolute amazement, he showed significant improvement within just one week.

Since being under Dr. Haghighat’s care, Dexter has not been sick again. He is now happy, healthy, and thriving. I am beyond grateful to this remarkable doctor and his compassionate team for giving our dog a chance at life and allowing us to finally see him flourish.

Thanks to them, we were able to celebrate Dexter’s first birthday—and we are now approaching his second, with many more to come.

What a true blessing.
