Melany is a dedicated veterinarian and zootechnician from Ecuador with a diverse background working with exotic animals, small animals, and equines. Her career began in Ecuador, where she spent a year focusing on small animals before specializing in equine care for two years This specialization allowed her to integrate conventional, holistic, and ethological medicine to enhance the well-being of her patients.
In 2022, Melany relocated to Canada, where her passion for animal behavior led her to focus on stress alleviation and overall wellness in animals. She joined the Holistic Veterinary team as a veterinary technician, driven by her commitment to integrating holistic practices into patient care. Currently, Melany is broadening her expertise by pursuing a diploma in Services Essential for Business in Canada. Melany recently completed her Canine Massage Therapy Certification and is happy to integrate her skills, offering massage therapy for patients at the clinic.
Outside of her professional life, Melany is the proud owner of three dogs and a cat, who bring her immense joy. She enjoys spending time with animals of all kinds, cooking, and cycling through the woods, where she finds solace in nature.
