Shady – Diabetes

Shady is a 12-year-old cat who was diagnosed with diabetes. The conventional vet prescribed injections of 2 cc insulin, twice per day and a prescription diabetic cat food. Before coming to the Holistic Vet, Shady was having trouble climbing stairs, jumping up and down, and was chewing the fur on his right paw.

Shady was treated at the Holistic Vet and the insulin dose has been reduced to 1 cc once per week. He is also able to jump up onto counters from the floor, climb stairs, lost weight, and stopped chewing on his right paw.
